Funded Projects

Kids Theater Experience Upgrade

When our 3rd-5th grade kids gather together to worship in the Theater every Sunday, they have a great time experiencing Jesus. Unfortunately, that’s in spite of the woeful state of the video, lighting and sound systems in the Theater. The Theater is one of the church’s first buildings and the equipment in that building is well over a decade old. Not only is the kid’s experience diminished, but the same is true for the other groups, ministries and memorial services that happen in that building. With the funding of this project, the kids’ worship experience will be enhanced considerably, we’ll provide a better environment for the other ministries that use the Theater, and we’ll be able to better care for the equipment in other parts of the campus that would no longer need to be relocated weekly to accommodate the needs in the Theater. The upgrade will include essential elements like a new computer, soundboard, new video screen, replacement of broken instruments, and the necessary technical equipment needed to support the upgraded audio/visual and lighting systems.

Mid India Outreach Initiatives

The Mid India team has outreach initiatives planned to reach thousands of locals through several Revival events and also is hosting training for new missionaries. They will bring these men to one central location in the State of Goa and hold a 4-day training. The men will be equipped to go back to the villages and communities in their region to share the gospel and make disciples.

Midtown Outdoor Gathering Equipment and Sound

One of the strategies at our Midtown campus is to be a resource and gathering place for the local neighborhood. This includes hosting a number of events in the outside areas of the church including clothing drives, block parties and outdoor holiday gatherings.

Midtown can more effectively utilize the campus and better steward the resources if it wasn’t necessary to always rent equipment for the outdoor events. With these funds, Midtown would purchase necessary items like shade structures, turf, tables, chairs, heating and cooling equipment and enhance the outside sound experience through permanent and portable enhancements.

Open Doors for Kids

In our early childhood environments at Windmill and Midtown, we’ve been using the portable baby gates in the doorways to keep the kids secure and allow easy check-in with parents dropping off and picking up. Unfortunately, those gates are not very stable and can be knocked loose by an overly-excited 3yr old! Additionally, the presence of those gates hinders ADA access for kids and volunteers in wheelchairs. With the funding of this project, the preschool doors at the Windmill and Midtown campuses would be replaced with dutch doors. The dutch doors would allow the bottom half of the entrance to be secured while kids are passed from parent to volunteer through the upper half. Additionally, the dutch doors could easily be opened and closed to allow wheelchair accessibility.

“Cool Kids” Initiative

“Cool Kids” initiative focuses on upgrading the HVAC systems in our Venue to ensure a comfortable and secure environment for our young visitors. With the previous units aging over 15 years and struggling to combat the summer heat adequately, the installation of new HVAC units promises improved cooling efficiency. Furthermore, the addition of tinted, security film on the expansive glass facade serves to enhance both comfort and security. These enhancements underscore our commitment to providing a welcoming and secure space for children to enjoy and explore.

Kids Crossing Interactive Digital Experience

One of the blessings and challenges of having our campuses in constant use is the need for the individual spaces to be flexible. This is especially true for our kids’ environments. The same spaces that should appear fun and inviting for our kids on Sundays also need to be available to the various groups and services offered throughout the week. Because of this, we are limited in our use of permanent decorations and structures that do not allow that flexibility.
For this reason, the Kids Crossing team would like to purchase four Digital Interactive Experience projectors to transform floors and walls into an exciting interactive sports/game experience on Sunday’s for kids! They would create more engagement aspects and unique aesthetics to The Venue and Theater making these environments more fun and exciting as kids enter. The rest of the week they would remain off allowing a more appropriate space for adults use.

HOPE for Prisoners Vocational Village at Southern Desert Correctional Center

The mission of HOPE for Prisoners (HFP) is to empower and equip men, women, and young adults to successfully reenter the workforce, their families and our community. HFP’s goal is to provide wrap-around services and fill in the gaps that exist between formerly incarcerated individuals and long-term, sustainable success. In doing this, our objectives include reduced recidivism, promote reintegration, increase public safety and lower costs incurred due to re-incarceration. HFP is expanding its reentry service model as it plans to launch Vocational Village in collaboration with the Nevada Department of Corrections. Based at the Southern Desert Correctional Center, HFP will operate and manage a comprehensive vocational training center with a goal of providing returning citizens with marketable skills in in-demand occupations prior to their release. As the vision of Vocational Village comes to fruition, the model will change Southern Nevada reentry by providing an atmosphere for education, rehabilitation and workforce development for inmates that are scheduled for release.

Windmill Venue Sound System

The Venue is one of the church’s first buildings and has had the same sound system for almost 20 years. It is now time to replace this system. Unfortunately, the manufacturer of our current system is out of business and the church cannot purchase parts to fix the broken speakers any longer. A new system will create a wonderful experience for all ministries that use the Venue including kids, students, Rooted groups, Next Chapter and many others.

Keep Our Kids Safe Initiative

The safety and security of the children entrusted to us on Sundays and throughout the week is of paramount importance. We have many security and safety processes in place to protect our children, but one area that would ensure additional safety is video monitoring in our classrooms and other areas commonly used by our children. Although it is a significant expense, that expense is far outweighed by the peace of mind we can provide to parents as well as the additional protection against those who wish to harm the most vulnerable among us.

AIM Cambodia - Sponsor a Classroom

Agape International Missions (AIM) is an organization whose mission is to rescue, restore, and reintegrate survivors of sex trafficking through Christ’s love and Gospel. Additionally, AIM prevents sex trafficking by protecting, equipping, and empowering vulnerable and exploited communities, reducing demand, and equipping the local church to do the same worldwide. They opened a school to help provide high-quality education for kids in Svay Pak, Cambodia who would normally not have access to education and who are vulnerable to exploitation.

Here are a few things that will be made possible if we reach our goal of sponsoring a classroom:

    - Access to a school nurse for basic healthcare needs, vitamins, and immunizations as needed including fresh drinking water and snacks.

    - Trained Christian teachers in the classroom and access to a well-resourced library, playground, and school campus.

    - School curriculum and materials that are provided free of charge to the students and their families.

    - Trained Christian social workers who work in the community, helping problem-solve barriers to education with families.

    - Access to AIM’s intervention abilities (SWAT) if abuse is identified.

Camp Scholarship

Each summer hundreds of kids and students experience Jesus through camp experiences. For kids, camp can make the Bible real and God becomes personal to them. For students, camp can truly change the trajectory of their lives and help them to clarify their calling. Our hope is to make the cost of camp so affordable that any child and student wanting to participate in camp this summer will have the opportunity to go. If this project is fully funded it will allow us to offer camp to every student at half the actual cost.

Windmill Exterior Campus Refresh

The Crossing moved onto our Windmill property in 2005. This campus has served us well over the years, but could use several improvements. Our 16 year old campus is in need of exterior upgrades including modern lighting and new paint. These areas are the first impression for our first time guests every Sunday and new students every Wednesday. We want to be sure that they are inviting for all those walking onto our campus for the first time. These spaces are also used by many other ministries throughout the year and these upgrades would benefit them as well. Additionally, we would like to be able to install some renovations for more comfortable, communal spaces around the campus for groups to gather or for individuals to sit and reflect. There are so many groups that meet on our campus that would benefit from this additional space including our students, Rooted Groups, Life Groups, Celebrate Recovery and more.

Sierra Vista High School - Water Fountains

The Crossing Next Gen team has partnered with Sierra Vista HS through Fellowship of Christian Athletes and is looking to deepen the partnership. Recently, Sierra Vista reached out to Pastor Jeff K. regarding a very specific need their kids are facing. Currently, students at Sierra Vista are required to bring their own drinking water for the day. They must also prepare ahead of time if they are staying after school for sports or other activities. The school district is not providing funds for new water fountains. We would like to sponsor the installation of 2-3 water fountains at the school.

Theater Mezzanine Furnishings

The TCS After School initiative is designed to create a safe space for students in the surrounding community. Whether they need a space to complete a class project or a place to do their homework assignments, the students will know there is an environment designed for them. Ultimately, the hope is to create a bridge and opportunity to help said students discover Jesus and the journey. $10,000 will enable us to purchase new furniture, tables, desk, and the necessary school supplies needed for a “complete” space.

Windmill Auditorium Interior Refresh

We believe that environments matter and a fresh- looking campus provides a sense of expectation and welcoming to all who enter. The auditorium at Windmill has effectively welcomed tens of thousands of people over the last eight years and it’s really starting to show the wear and tear. It’s time for a refresh!

This refresh would include new paint colors, carpet and the resurfacing of the concrete so the auditorium better matches the new look of the lobby.

N. Ireland - Tana & Aaron Molesky - Community Outreach Center

Centre61 Church is expanding and has taken the first step into the broader vision that God has given the church to be a ‘Resource Center’ both locally, regionally, and internationally. Centre61 has partnered with locals within the church to construct a Community Outreach Center, which focuses on community development & outreach through a nursery workshop, storefront and community center. The vision includes impacting not only the local community but global as well. Locals will work the garden as part of a trauma therapy program.

The garden storefront profits will support YWAM Congo. YWAM Congo is dedicated to training locals in trauma counseling to confront and offer healing to the youth who have struggled through the pain of sex trafficking, being forced into the militia as children, etc.

Next Gen Media Package

Each week, The Crossing Student Ministry streams their services online to reach more students. They film additional content distributed to YouTube and the various forms of social media the middle school or high school student is actively using today. This is how we help students discover Jesus and their journey in the digital world. The content needs to look sharp and creative to create an opportunity for these students to engage and plug into the student ministry. Our student team needs cameras, lenses, portable lighting, gimbals, batteries, extension cables, audio recording devices, and external hard drives to continue producing videos that capture students' attention.

Next Gen Outdoor Space

As we continue to increase our focus on our next generation, we will be hosting after-school opportunities and increased on-campus youth gatherings. We want to welcome young people into our environments by adding some additional fun elements and sports court in the area between the Venue and the Theater on the Windmill campus.

Proem Ministries - Family Crisis Center for the Nations

We reached our goal of $50,000 to complete this project of focusing on renovating the kitchen/dining area. The anticipated cost of the project is $50,000 and will provide new appliances, furniture, and all items needed for families to share a meal together.

Women’s Mexico Homebuild - 3 Houses

The Crossing is sending its first women-only mission trip to Mexico to build 3 homes with YWAM (Youth with a Mission San Diego/Baja) in October 2022. These homes can move a family forward 7-10 years financially, lower the infection rates in children by 78%, and triple the likelihood that kids stay in school. The response to this opportunity has been more than anticipated! Currently, there are 67 women registered (27 of whom are on the waitlist).

The registration fee for participants covers their transportation, lodging, and food, but The Crossing contributes toward the building and furnishing costs of each home, and we would like to increase the number of homes to build to include all the women on the waitlist.

Men’s Mexico Homebuild 2022 - 5 Houses

As of August 2021, The Crossing has built 75 homes in Rosarito, Mexico with Homes of Hope - Youth With A Mission San Diego/Baja (YWAM). This means there are 75 families who were previously homeless that now have a house with a concrete floor, a door that locks, and a safe place of their very own. These homes move families forward 7-10 years financially, lower the infection rates in children by 78%, and triple the likelihood that kids stay in school - these homes dramatically change lives.

In May 2022, The Crossing will take a team of 120 men to build 6 homes in one weekend. The registration fee for participants covers their transportation, lodging, and food, but The Crossing contributes toward the building and furnishing costs of each home. We have the funding to cover the building of 1 home, but we still need funds for the remaining 5 homes. This home build will not only impact the lives of 6 families in Mexico, but we know that God does amazing things in a person’s life when they are serving others on mission. The effect this trip has on the 120 men who participate will ripple throughout our church and community.

Windmill Campus Perimeter Sound

As families drive onto our campus we want to greet them immediately by being able to play our lobby music throughout the parking lot. This will create an overall more welcoming environment throughout every part of our Windmill location. Additionally, as we continue to offer our Crossing Converge experiences with outdoor tree lightings, worship nights, gatherings, and other ministry events - our ability to have sound systems in place throughout the parking lot will save The Crossing from renting sound equipment throughout the year in order to produce these gatherings.

Windmill Network Upgrade

Over the last two years, The Crossing Online Campus has continued to grow and become an important part of reaching people for Jesus both in our own community and around the world. Members of The Crossing Family who are out of town, who are still unable to attend in person, or who join us everywhere from Arizona to the Netherlands (and beyond) join us each and every week to worship together and pursue Jesus with us. The frequency of our streaming services in addition to our additional ministry opportunities requires The Crossing to have a reliable network system. Our current internet hardware is not able to sustain our streaming services and desperately needs to be overhauled.

Hope House International - New Casita

Hope House International seeks to provide a long-term, loving environment for kids who have been abandoned, neglected & abused. They operate in the Dominican Republic and currently serve dozens of children in their program that breaks the mold of traditional orphan care. The organization has owned a piece of land to begin building permanent casitas on to house more children. Hope House is designed to invest in the child’s future, not just by providing a meal or a place to sleep, but also through education, psychological therapies, and extracurricular activities – all the while placing them in a safe environment – giving them the opportunity to experience love and acceptance within a family unit. Hope House was just approved to begin building on their property and needs funds to complete these homes.

The Crossing Midtown

Through the generosity of the Accelerate Team and year-end giving at The Crossing, we were able to fully fund Midtown and launched on December 8, 2019.

Early Childhood Environment

Thanks to the generous support of the Accelerate Team, recent improvements were made to the first time guest and large group teaching environments in our Early Childhood ministry. The modernized design has created a more welcoming space for our new families and the 300+ pre-school aged children who are checked-in to our services each weekend. It is in these environments we are able to introduce the gospel in a relevant way and give kids their first look at who Jesus is.

Mexico Men Homebuild

In May 2019, Shane led a team of 153 men to Mexico to build 12 homes over the course of a weekend and the lives of 12 families were completely changed. The Accelerate Team was a critical partner in providing the financial resources to build these homes. Each family was advanced economically by 7-10 years by the provision of the new home and the path of the children have been improved in many ways. Thank you for being part of the life change which occurred that weekend in Mexico.

First Impression Improvements

We have received funding to create a permanent Hub where first time families, kids, and students can get plugged in and resourced. The breezeway between The Venue and Theater will receive the desperate improvements needed to make it more kid friendly and increase the safety of the area. This overhaul could include and is not limited to: turf installation, rock removal, adding furniture, repainting Theater outside door, and painting in Breezeway.

New Theater Projector

A new projector in The Theater is used by our older elementary students each Sunday and our Middle School students every Wednesday. We have witnessed time and again how God can use something as simple as a video to speak to the heart of a young person. The reach of a new projector extends beyond the Next Generation as well. We host Alpha, Rooted, Financial Peace University, Next Chapter and many other ministries in The Theater; each of them utilize technology to communicate to people and aid in discipleship growth.

Mid India Youth Camp

In October 2019, The Crossing sent a team to participate in a youth camp for hundreds of youths through our partners in India. Accelerate has fully covered the costs of the camp for students and the facility uses.

AIM School Library and Books

The mission of the Agape International Missions School is to provide academic and spiritual excellence in education while protecting children from sex trafficking and abuse. Bible lessons and biblical principles are interwoven throughout the Khmer curriculum of literacy, math, life skills and ESL. The AIM School now has Library Catalog Software, curriculum materials, books and textbooks for all students, children's Khmer books, and English books for their library and classrooms.

Early Childhood Furnishings

The Early Childhood environments at The Crossing Windmill received brand new furniture which has helped to bring a modern feel to the classrooms!
